Shell lowers the kilowatt price to DKK 1 in Denmark

For the rest of the year, DCC Energy, which is behind all Shell stations in Denmark, sells electricity from lightning chargers for electric cars for DKK 1 per kilowatt hour.

DCC Energi offers a lower price for lightning charging at Shell filling stations for the rest of the year. The price of 1 kroner per kilowatt-hour applies to everyone with a Shell Card.

In order to meet the increasing demand for lightning charging, DCC Energi, which operates the Shell filling stations in Denmark, has decided to lower the price of lightning charging.

Lena Lowe Sorensen, commercial director at DCC Energi, states that the Shell Card gives access to an extensive charging network, both in Denmark and in Europe. The card can be used at more than 22,000 charging stations in Denmark and 700,000 in Europe, in addition to Shell's own lightning chargers.

The company writes this in a press release.

DCC Energi has initiated a roll-out of lightning chargers at Shell petrol stations. For the time being, 66 lightning chargers have been set up, and the goal is to reach 100 lightning chargers by the end of 2025. The lightning chargers have a capacity of either 150 KW or 300 KW.

Lena Lowe Sorensen explains that many electric drivers find it difficult to navigate the various charging operators and apps. Shell Card offers a combined payment that covers the majority of the market, it says.

The offer of lightning charging for 1 kroner per kilowatt-hour applies from 12 November to 31 December 2024. However, it is a prerequisite that you use the latest version of Shell Card Privat, which is characterized by a charging symbol in the top right corner.
