Andreas has torn down all his Tesla chargers in anger

In sheer anger at the result of the US presidential election, hotel owner Andreas Eggensberger has torn down all his Tesla chargers.

In the German city of Füssen, a hotel owner has removed three Tesla Supercharger charging stations from his parking lot in protest of Tesla CEO Elon Musk's support for Trump supporters.

Hotel owner Andreas Eggensberger, who runs a hotel, had installed the charging stations when he initially had a positive impression of Musk.

However, Eggensberger's attitude changed abruptly during the American election campaign, when he could read in the media about Musk donating money to Trump supporters.

– I no longer support Elon Musk in any way, Eggensberger writes on his LinkedIn profile.

The hotel owner also writes that he could not reconcile his support for Musk with his actions.

The removal of the charging stations has created debate and given Eggensberger considerable media coverage. He describes his action as a spontaneous reaction.

A reaction which, according to the hotel owner himself, has created an interest in the hotel. Several potential guests have expressed their support and booked rooms as a result of the protest, says the hotel owner.

The hotel continues to have around twenty Tesla Supercharger charging stations nearby. They are still available to guests. But the electricity has to be paid for.

According to Golem, Eggensberger also has plans to replace the removed Tesla charging stations with charging stations from the German manufacturer Technagon.

It is far from the first time that Tesla's charging network has made headlines. Earlier this year, Boosted was able to tell how neighbors of a number of Tesla Superchargers experience that the drivers sit down to shit next to the stands. Read more about it here .

– The vast majority go into the forest right in front of the charging station and empty themselves.

– I have seen many of them during the time I have trained in the gym. I would like to point out that my focus is on training. But you still see a lot, it says, among other things.

And for that, Boosted could tell about how a gas station has hired guards because charging stations have been set up. The gas station simply fears that the electric car owners will go crazy on each other.
