For 20 million kroner you can sing as Batman

The car in this article is not just a prop for a Hollywood movie. It is real – that is, it can sing itself. But the buyer must cough up DKK 20 million.

Batman is Hollywood. And vice versa. But that doesn't mean the stories about the caped avenger don't smack just a little bit of reality. The car – the batmobile – is, for example, real enough.

It is the result of a collaboration between the film company Warner Bros. Discovery and PR firm Relevance International. They have actually created Wayne Enterprises, which in Batman's universe makes the man behind it – Bruce Wayne – a dollar billionaire.

The car, which has been named Tumbler, has even been developed in collaboration with Pininfarina. You know, the ones who have designed everything from some of the most iconic Ferrari models to the Hyundai Matrix.

Beneath the brutal exterior lies an equally brutal engine. Namely a 6.2-liter LS3-V8 from General Motors. The latest information from 'Wayne Enterprises' is that the car has '525 horsepower and 659 newton metres'.

Similar to the Aston Martin DB5 from the James Bond film Goldfinger, the batmobile is also built in several copies. However, in a very limited number. Only ten cars need to be built.

Is it approved for use on the street? Hardly. Still, the entire glory costs 2.7 million euros, or the equivalent of 20 million Danish kroner. From here it should be possible to obtain a type approval. At least in theory.

In comparison, the Tesla Cybetruck, which many otherwise judged to be completely out on European roads, is already here, for example. And not just as an eye-catcher for, for example, the Auto Show in the Odense Congress Center. Read more about it here .
