The Kia EV3 will be the first car ever with Carpay

The new Kia EV3, which in Denmark costs from DKK 269,990, gets the so-called CarPay. It is the brand's way of dealing with, for example, paid parking.

With the new Kia EV3 comes the CarPay function, which is really just a payment solution. But that way you don't need to get out of the car to pay for parking, for example

CarPay is available via the Kia Connect app and the car's touchscreen, and the payment is linked to the driver's payment card.

– Bringing a simple and streamlined payment method into the fleet is a game-changer," says Olivier Pascal, General Manager and Head of Connectivity, Kia Connect.

Initially, CarPay is integrated with Parkopedia, a service that helps drivers find and pay for parking.

– It takes less time to find an available space, while avoiding the frustrating process of finding a working parking machine or downloading different phone apps to try to activate and pay for parking, says Hans Puvogel, deputy director at Parkopedia, in a press release .

Kia plans to expand CarPay to include payment for a number of other goods and services in the future.

"Software and connectivity options continue to increase the capabilities of a coach, and we are confident that our customers will appreciate this option," says Sjoerd Knipping, Vice President Product & Marketing at Kia Europe.

CarPay is part of Kia's strategy to improve the user experience in the car with new functions.

– CarPay is a step towards making the car experience both smoother and more integrated into everyday life, says Sjoerd Knipping.
