Xiaomi SU7 has broken Porsche's Nürburgring record

The Chinese electric car Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is the fastest four-door passenger car to ever lap the Nürburgring.

Xiaomi claims to have broken Porsche's record for the fastest four-door car at the famous Nürburgring race track with their prototype of the upcoming electric car, the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra.

The Chinese automaker states that the prototype completed a lap of the track with a time of 6:46.874, which is faster than Porsche's time of 7:07. Porsche had previously taken the record from the Tesla Model S Plaid.

The prototype of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra has 1548 horsepower and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.97 seconds. Top speed is stated at 350 km/h. The record attempt took place on Monday at lunchtime.

– This is the prototype's first test at the Nürburgring. It is a miracle and a new beginning, says Xiaomi.

British racing driver David Pittard, who won the 24 Hours of Nürburgring last year, was behind the wheel during the record lap.

The street version of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra is expected to launch in the first half of 2025.
