The police shut down car collisions in Aarhus with torrential rain

On Thursday evening and early Sunday morning, East Jutland Police together with several other police forces closed down a large car crash in Aarhus. It cost drivers several charges.

Dog report from East Jutland Police reports on a coordinated traffic effort in connection with a major car crash in Aarhus, which took place on Thursday 26 October and continued until the night of Sunday.

The event, which goes by the name "Cars and Coffee," gathered a significant number of motorists and spectators in the area, which gave rise to a large number of traffic incidents.

This is what East Jutland's Police write in the police report .

The police's efforts were aimed at enforcing the traffic law and preventing the event from developing into unauthorized activities such as racing and drifting.

The inspection took place in several municipalities in East Jutland and was completed in Aarhus. Throughout the process, the police received reports of reckless driving and rowdy behaviour.

The result of the effort was 141 cases distributed among 122 accused persons. The cases dealt with, among other things, speeding offences, violations of traffic rules and technical defects in the cars. The specific charges were distributed as follows:

  • Drug carousel : 1
  • Speeding offences:
  • Conditional disqualification: 1
  • Cut in the choir card: 6
  • Booth: 2
  • Carousel without front: 1

In addition, a number of offenses relating to traffic behavior and the technical condition of the cars were registered:

  • Overhaul on the right (cut): 1
  • Left turn at pouring plant (cut): 2
  • Handheld mobile phone (clip): 5
  • Illegal crossing in a groove (cut): 1
  • Unnecessary noise: 10
  • Unnecessary/disruptive traffic: 5
  • Incorrect lamp lining: 23
  • Unnecessary use of horns: 12
  • Failure to provide signs: 2
  • Crossroads against yellow light: 1

Part of the effort was also focused on the technical condition of the cars, where several vehicles were found to be in breach of environmental and safety regulations:

  • Pollution manipulation: 4
  • Errors and omissions: 27
  • Invitations to view: 16
  • Missing license plate: 6
  • License plate included: 1
  • Choir card not brought: 3
  • Car seat without seat belt: 3

The effort led to the confiscation of one car due to crossing the road without a lane. Overall, there was considerable enforcement of the provisions of the Road Traffic Act, which gave rise to both charges and seizures.
