Denmark's most popular car is the Tesla Model Y. Now, for the first time in a long time, the brand has succeeded in beating the Dacia Sandero in popularity throughout Europe.
The Tesla Model Y is once again among the most popular cars in Europe, and in September it took first place among the best-selling cars.
According to the market analysis company Dataforce, which Automotive News Europe cites, 28,680 copies of the Tesla Model Y were sold during the month, which is a decrease of approximately 3.6 percent compared to August.
The ranking makes the Model Y the best-selling car in Europe for the second time this year. For the remaining months, the cheap Romanian with the Renault technology is on.
The Dacia Sandero, which has been one of the most popular cars in the first nine months of the year, remains the best-selling car in Europe with 203,474 units sold.
The following places are occupied by the Volkswagen Golf and Renault Clio, which sold 165,370 and 162,021 cars respectively in the same period. Overall, the Volkswagen T-Roc and Tesla Model Y occupy fourth and fifth place with 156,803 and 155,428 cars sold.

At the same time, data shows that the Model Y was the eighth best-selling car in August and the ninth best-selling in July.
This progress shows how the Model Y is once again doing better towards the end of the year, despite the lower sales figures of the past.
Tesla typically experiences a minor decline at the beginning of a quarter, which may explain why the September figures are surprisingly low.
In relation to competing models, there is a close battle for second place between the Volkswagen Tiguan and the Renault Clio, which have sold 20,763 and 20,306 units respectively in September. However, the figures may change slightly as Slovakia and Hungary have not yet published their sales figures.
In August, sales of electric cars fell by 44 percent in Europe, while total car sales also took a dive with a decline of 18 percent.
Last year, the Tesla Model Y was the best-selling car in Europe overall, and there remains the possibility that it can repeat that feat this year.
