If you drive one of these cars, you are over 65

It is said that the car reflects the owner. Or is it the other way around? New research reveals 5 cars that those over 65 prefer.

A new survey has taken a closer look at which car models are most often driven by people over the age of 65.

The survey, which was carried out in Germany, shows that the Mercedes-Benz B-Class is the model preferred by older drivers. In fact, almost half of the drivers of this car are over 65, and the average age of B-Class owners is 61.5 years.

The list of the most popular cars among seniors also shows a marked difference to the second shortest model.

In second place is the Skoda Yeti, where 38.8 percent of the owners are over 65. In third, fourth and fifth place follows the BMW X1 with 34.5 percent, the Audi Q3 with 34.3 percent and the Mercedes-Benz GLC with 34.1 percent.

Although this survey is German, one could imagine that the results in Denmark would show some of the same trends.

However, similar surveys have not been carried out in Denmark recently, so one can only guess which models older drivers in this country prefer.

However, it is likely that models such as the B-Class and Skoda Yeti would also be among the most popular choices among older drivers in Denmark.

It is common knowledge that people over the age of 65 make up a significant proportion of car owners. In the Netherlands, for example, people over the age of 65 own about 20 percent of cars, which corresponds to their share of the population.

In Denmark, a similar trend could conceivably apply, but precise figures are lacking.

A ranking published by used car portal Autoscout24 recently named some of the best cars for older drivers.

Models such as the Ford Focus, Honda Jazz, Hyundai Kona Electric, Peugeot 2008, Toyota Yaris Cross and Volkswagen Golf were highlighted here.

When the elderly buy a car, it is important for them to focus on factors such as a high seating position that provides a good view and easy entry and exit, comfortable seats and clear control systems. These are decisive factors for older drivers when choosing a new car.
