P-selskab warns: On Sunday it can be really expensive

On Sunday we switch to winter time. And it can be really expensive for drivers who don't get the parking disc checked in time, warns the parking company Q-Park.

On Sunday 27 October we switch to winter time, and it is important for motorists to remember to adjust their parking discs. If you forget this, it can be an expensive mistake in the form of a fine. Many have experienced getting control charges because the parking disc was not set correctly after the time change.

When the clocks are set back an hour, it can easily cause confusion, especially if the car's clock is not automatically updated.

This can lead to the parking disc being set incorrectly, which can result in a stall which could easily have been avoided. Therefore, Q-Park encourages all motorists to pay particular attention to both their car's clock and parking disc in connection with the transition to winter time.

Electronic p-disks may also require manual updating. Although many see them as a practical solution, several of them have to be adjusted manually when we switch to winter time.

It is therefore important to double-check whether both the car's clock and the electronic parking disc are set correctly, so that you avoid unforeseen expenses.

– We would like to help motorists avoid inspection charges, and therefore we remind you of the importance of setting the time correctly.

Our parking attendants only have the parking discs to deal with when they assess whether a car is allowed to park in the space. It is the driver's responsibility to ensure that the parking disc shows the correct time, says Alex Pedersen, director of Q-Park, in a press release .

He also emphasizes that Q-Park does not increase the number of parking attendants on Sundays in connection with the time change: "We have the same staffing as on a normal Sunday."

To avoid stalls and unexpected expenses, it is therefore important to remember to check both the clock in the car and the parking disc before parking. Forgetting this can quickly turn out to be an expensive mistake.
