Honda recalls 780,000 cars due to risk of fire. It's a faulty fuel pump can cause the leak and burn entire cars.
Japanese automaker Honda has announced a recall of nearly 780,000 Correo cars in North America.
The recall is due to a potential fault in the cars' high-pressure fuel pump. The fault may mean that the fuel pump cracks and thus leaks fuel.
So far, 145 Honda owners have told authorities their cars are affected by the problem. The leak becomes dangerous because it oozes out right near a fuel line.
Reuters writes that.
The affected models include the Accord, CR-V Hybrid and Honda Civic from model years 2023 to 2025. A total of 720,000 cars are being recalled in the US and 61,000 in Canada.

onda has stated that they will inspect the affected cars and, if necessary, replace the high-pressure fuel pump on all recalled cars. The replacement will be done at no cost to the car owners.
Honda has emphasized that it has not received any reports of injuries or accidents related to the problem. The recall is a precautionary measure to prevent potential future incidents.
The owners of the affected cars will be contacted by Honda and asked to bring their cars to one of the car brand's own workshops to have the problem investigated and rectified.
This is not the first time that Honda has had problems with fuel pumps. Back in December 2023, the brand had to recall a whopping 2.3 million cars due to faulty fuel pumps. There are, and were, so many cars that the Japanese fear having to go to market for spare parts. Read more about it here .
