Top Gear star underwent surgery – was just days away from dying

Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson was briefly hospitalized with heart problems. The long-standing TV profile was operated on at the last second.

Former Top Gear star Jeremy Clarkson now reveals he has had serious heart problems that required surgery.

In his column for the Sunday Times, he writes how doctors warned him he was days away from a heart attack.

Clarkson, who has for years shared her experiences with various health problems, including a stiff back and nearsightedness, this time faced a much more serious threat to her health.

The problems began during a vacation on a oi the Indian Ocean, when Clarkson suddenly felt unwell. After a diving trip that didn't go as planned, he decided to take it easy and enjoy the rest of the vacation with wine and cheese by the beach.

Back in England, he continued his work on his farm, Diddly Squat Farm. But during a day of pig slaughtering, he suddenly experienced pain in his arm.

He tried to ignore the symptoms, expecting a doctor's visit to just result in a few pain pills.

But at the doctor's visit, it turned out that the situation was far more serious. Clarkson was quickly sent for a heart exam, where a scope was placed to examine his arteries.

The doctors discovered that his arteries were blocked, which meant that an operation had become urgently necessary. Using ultrasound, the blockages were removed and the operation lasted about two hours.

According to doctors, Clarkson was just days away from a potentially fatal heart attack. As a result, he has been given strict restrictions, which include, among other things, that he must avoid alcohol and dirty code.

Clarkson, who has often expressed his delight in both wine and grilled food, reflected on these changes in his column, joking that he now has to learn to find interest in water and celery.

How long he will be on sick leave is unknown. But it is certain that Jeremy Clarkson must for a period focus on healthier food and take a break from his many activities.
