Electric car brands occupy the Bella Center: eCar Expo 2024

Europe's largest electric car fair is coming to Copenhagen with an impressive range of debutants and exciting premieres.

When the doors open to the eCar Expo in the Bella Center on 25-27 October, 22 different electric car brands will be ready to present their latest models.

Porsche , Peugeot, Citroën and Alfa Romeo are among the big European names exhibiting for the first time at this fair in Denmark. The American brand Rivian will also debut their popular electric pickup, the R1T, represented through the Rivian Owners Club.

Last year's eCar Expo attracted around 21,000 visitors, which clearly shows that the Danes have embraced electric cars. This year, the interest is even greater, with more car brands than ever before.

"It's exciting to see how the European brands are betting big right now," says Camilla Messer Thomsen from eLife Nordic AB, the organizer behind the fair. She adds: "Everything from compact cars from Italy and France to large luxury models from Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi will be represented at the fair."

Last year there was a lot of focus on the Chinese electric car brands, but this year there has been a significant shift in the exhibition landscape. "The pendulum is swinging quickly, and now we are again seeing a greater focus on the European brands," says Messer Thomsen. This shift makes the fair an important event for car enthusiasts and those considering investing in an electric car.

Although not all premieres have been announced yet, it is clear that electric cars are spreading across more segments this year than ever before. One of the most anticipated presentations are the Danish premieres of electrically powered versions of the classics Renault 5 and Ford Capri. In addition, the Audi A6 Avant e-tron and the new Škoda Elroq will also be shown for the first time in Denmark.

There is also a big focus on the USA, where two impressive electric-powered pickups – Tesla's ground-breaking Cybertruck and Rivian's R1T – will be among the highlights of the fair. Sports car lovers can look forward to MG's two-seater roadster, the Cyberster, which will add a touch of adrenaline-filled elegance to the show.

Camilla Messer Thomsen promises that the eCar Expo will offer a wide range of electric cars for every taste. "It's going to be a fantastically wide selection, and we've got indications of some really exciting premieres that we hope to be able to announce soon!" she says, raising expectations for what the audience can expect to see at the fair.

The many car brands participating in eCar Expo 2024 include big names such as Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Tesla. But also exciting new players such as Rivian and XPENG will be present. Overall, the car brands will cover the entire spectrum of the electric car market, from compact city cars to luxury and powerful SUVs.

eCar Expo is Europe's leading trade fair for e-mobility and attracts both industry professionals and ordinary car enthusiasts. The fair not only offers car premieres, but also the opportunity to test drive many of the newest electric cars on the market. In addition, visitors will be able to gain insight into important topics such as charging, range and the economic aspects of owning an electric car.

Friday 25 October is dedicated to industry professionals, while the doors open to the public on Thursday and Sunday 26-27. October.
