Car brand can lobby tor for spare parts – everything is thrown away

In China, Saab engines are probably still built under license. But at home in Sweden, the country's largest Saab rebuilder has been shut down.

As a car brand, Saab is both dead and gone. But many of the brand's cars are still on the road. Unfortunately, it has become more difficult to maintain the cars.

In fact, Kenneth Lindblom, who runs a wrecker in Värnamo, where 80,000 Saab parts are in stock, is giving up running the business.

He tells Carup that.

That's why everything has to go. Because it is difficult to find people for the scrapping industry. Furthermore, according to the Värnamo scrapper, it is expensive to train new people, while the premises also cost money.

According to Kenneth Lindblom, there is only one thing left to do – namely to encourage Saab owners and enthusiasts to empty the warehouses of parts. There are just as many Saab models on the road as there were five years ago.

Something that, according to the soon-to-be former car wrecker, indicates that motorists would rather keep the historic cars alive. The last opportunity to buy Saab parts is October 26. Everything that is not sold is smoked directly in a container. And so that chapter is closed.

Back at Saab's old factory in Trollhättan, until very recently, there was hope that one of the very last cars that the former employees created in just 9 months could be built there.

But now NEVS, which bought the remains of Saab and which has since gone bankrupt itself, has torn up the contract with the mysterious buyer. Blue. because the Lebanese businessman behind the deal lobbied from a loft about building cars in Sweden. Read more about it here .
