The state confiscates the Ferrari for DKK 4.5 million

One of Denmark's leading crazy drivers now loses the leased Ferrari 488 Spider, which he shot off directly in front of the police.

One of Denmark's first crazy drivers had to wait more than three years to get the final word – the state is taking his leased Ferrari.

Ritzau writes that.

The car shot the man off directly in front of a civilian video car in Easter 2021. Good Friday morning to be exact. A day when he had just got license plates on the car.

The officer in the civilian car explained that at first he could not keep up with the Ferrari at all because of the acceleration. Therefore, the prosecution also believes that the Ferrari owner was both short of the permitted 110 km/h and far more than 200 km/h, which is the limit for insane speed.

Something that both the district court and now the high court have given the prosecution right. In the Eastern High Court, the Ferrari owner maintained that he did not exceed 200 km/h on the Frederikssund motorway. But the justice system believed more in the police than in him.

Blue. because the officer in the civilian car believed that the speed was over 200 km/h. According to Ritzau, the driver is now liable for slightly more than DKK 2 million. That is probably the price of the car without tax.

Now the former Ferrari owner must also spend 20 days in prison, pay a large fine and live without a driving license for 3 years.

Since the rules on crazy cars came into force in March 2021, the country's police circle has seized 3,000 carousels. This is shown in a response from the National Police to the Danish Parliament's legal committee. Still, politicians are considering tightening the law. Read more about it here .
