China proves – this is how they would avoid punitive tariffs on cars

In one month, the EU's new punitive tariffs on all Chinese electric cars will come into effect. China has tried to avoid the tariff, but the proposal has been flatly rejected.

Last week, a majority in the EU voted to impose punitive tariffs on all Chinese electric cars. And in a month the customs will come into force.

However, China has tried to prevent it with a counter-proposal. Specifically, the Chinese have proposed a minimum price for the country's cars. The Chinese played out that the price cannot be lower than 223,000 Danish kroner per electric car.

But according to the news agency Reuters ' information, the proposal has been flatly rejected.

Anonymous sources tell the media that the EU Commission believes that the new punitive tariff is to a large extent a reaction to the fact that the Chinese state illegally distributes government subsidies to the country's car industry.

The EU Commission believes that the illegal state subsidy means that the Chinese car brands are able to sell cars within Europe far cheaper than everyone else.

This is even though it has actually been documented that certain Chinese brands make their cars up to 178 percent more expensive in Europe. Read more about it here .

Neither the communist dictatorship nor the European Commission will comment on Reuters' information.

But as a countermeasure, China has, among other things, made the import of French cognac more expensive. Just as the communist regime is considering imposing tariffs on European cars with internal combustion engines larger than two liters.
