Jeremy Clarkson makes car go up by 793 percent

The car program The Grand Tour is short in the grave. At least with Clarkson, Hammond and May as hosts. And that has caused interest to explode.

For the last ever episode of The Grand Tour hosted by Clarkson, Hammond and May, classic cars were searched in England.

It still does. But now interest in one of them in particular – a Triumph Stag – has increased wildly, notes Car Dealer Magazine .

According to the media, the number of searches for the Triumph Stag, which has increased by as much as 793 percent, is due partly to nostalgia, partly to what the television host trio does.

Since the last program was released on the streaming service Amazon Prime, the number of visits to the Ford Capri GXL has also increased by 185 percent.

And on Google Trend, both cars have increased in number of visits by 75 percent. At the same time, searches related to the Lancia Montecarlo have increased by up to 500 percent.

– The latest episode of The Grand Tour has brought these iconic models back into the spotlight. It reminds viewers of the cars' timeless appeal, while also allowing them to watch their idols drive the cars.

– Therefore, we have seen an enormous increase in interest, with both models becoming incredibly popular on our website in the days after the program was published.

– It proves that celebrities and popular culture still have a huge influence on our lifestyles, including buying a new car, says editor-in-chief Erin Barker.

However, the fact that neither Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond nor James May are now doing The Grand Tour does not mean that the program is dead. Read more about it here.
