There will be no more car shows with Jeremy Clarkson. The overriding reason is the electric cars, which have taken away his desire.
Jeremy Clarkson is staying away from the TV screens. At least when it has something to do with cars, and now he admits that it is due to electric cars.
It came out in the irrevocably final episode of The Grand Tour hosted by Richard Hammond, James May and Clarkson.
The latter is known to be a man whose opinions can easily be swayed by an entire public. Like when he slandered the English royal family in a column and later had to apologize for it.
That said, Clarkson used the dying minutes of The Grand Tour to really open up about why he's now leaving the world of cars. At least the one that takes place on TV.
There are many reasons why we're ending this whole show and ending it. But for me, one of the main ones is that I'm simply not interested in electric cars.

Jeremy Clarkson has never hidden what he thinks about electric cars. On the other hand, the now 64-year-old TV presenter will not be labeled a loner either. For the same reason, he is now reaching out for a former Top Gear host. Read more about it here.
As a face on the outside, Clarkson got to be involved with cars for really, really many years. He made his debut as a Top Gear host in October 1988 and stayed on until his sacking in 2015.
A sacking that prompted both James May and Richard Hammond to also leave both the BBC and Top Gear to follow Clarkson over to Amazon Prime, where in November 2016 they released the first Grand Tour programme.
The program later became individual specials. But now the trio is so done with these kinds of car programs that they have dissolved their joint production company. However, this does not necessarily mean that The Grand Tour is buried.
A new production company won in a bidding round earlier this year the right to develop a new format with the same name. Something that means that a new host trio must also be found.
