Elon Musk has long tried to entice the YouTuber 'Mr.Beast' to switch platforms from YouTube to "X". Now the protagonist himself shows some of the math.
Mr.Beast, real name Jimmy Donaldson, is one, if not the, most popular figure on Youtube.
With 233 million subscribers to the Google-owned platform, the advertising dollars for millions of impressions roll into the account.
For a long time, Elon Musk tried to get a piece of the cake by offering Mr.Beast 'good financial conditions' himself on "X" – the former Twitter.
And now Jimmy Donaldson himself lays out some of the math. For one video on "X", Jimmy Donaldson has been paid 2,633,655 dollars, equivalent to 1.8 million kroner.

He writes that himself on his "X" profile.
The question then is what it cost the famous youtube/X user to make the video.
In the video, Jimmy Donaldson claims to drive around in cars ranging in value from $1 to $100 million. And there's money in it. A lot of money.
Jimmy Donaldson himself says that he got a lot of money for 156 million views. Mr. However, Beast says at the same time that the video earnings must be taken with a good deal of reservations.
The mere fact that he has posted a video on the platform may have attracted advertisers. Thus, one cannot count on the fact that the advertising dollars, which are at the really high end, would have been the same if Jimmy Donaldson had generally used "X"/Twitter for the video.
To be fair, the same video has already been available on YouTube for four months. Here, Donaldson has so far been able to scrape together 216 million views on it.
