A new survey from the United States reveals that these drivers try various creative tricks to get around the speed bumps.

In as many as 22 percent of all cases where a motorist was flashed by a speed camera, the otherwise conclusive evidence had to be discarded because the number plate could not be read.
327,714 of the times the police had to stop the speeding ticket because the number plate was covered. In a further 748,468 cases, the license plate was either temporary or manipulated to such an extent that it could not be deciphered.
According to the authorities, this means that motorists have cheated on more than one million speed bumps. Something that amounts to 108 million dollars, corresponding to 739 million Danish kroner.
