Kennet feels cheated by Volvo – the paint is falling off

Kennet Ekberg should have Volvo's word for it that he has bought a car that is 'like new'. He has paid for that. But the paint falls off in several places.

Kennet Ekberg should really be driving around in a 'like new' Volvo V60. At least that's how he bought it four years ago, with Volvo's word for it.

This happened through the "Volvo Select" payment guarantee.

But now the car has started to rust. In fact, the paint falls off in large areas.

– I bought a car that had to be in new condition. But this summer I noticed that the paint was peeling on the doors, a car that has been repaired and repainted is not new in my opinion. I then approached Volvo, but they refused to look at the damage, he says to Hallandsposten .

Now, however, it appears that the car has been involved in at least one accident, where it has been both repaired and repainted. None of the parts, however, good enough.

At the Volvo dealer Rejmes, you are not much for telling the media or Kennet Ekberg himself about what has happened to the car. In a written response, the company refers to the fact that there is no central damage register for cars and that the warranty on the car expires in 2022.

However, a small plaster on the wound has been offered. But Kennet Ekberg sees it more as a kind of salt in the wound that has already been opened. He has been offered 20 percent of the bill for a repaint.

– It would have been enough if they apologized and offered half of what the repainting costs, but the way they are treating me now makes me sad.

Boosted has heard from several car owners who feel badly treated by both importers and car dealers. For Hans Ole, it ended happily, however, when Boosted went into the case of his just 3-year-old Volkswagen. Read more about it here .
