72-year-old ghost driver tried to force the Great Belt Bridge up

A 72-year-old man from Jutland, for unknown reasons, came the wrong way on the Storebæltsbroen, which he tried to force his way over on Sunday.

A 72-year-old man from Jutland had, for as yet unknown reasons, turned his van against the direction of traffic when he wanted to cross the Storebæltsbroen on Sunday evening.

This is stated by the South Zealand and Lolland-Falster Police in the dog report .

On the Vestmotorvejen in Korsor around the toll booth, the 72-year-old turned his van towards the direction of the intersection.

Soon after, the elderly driver returned to the toll booth, where he tried to force open a barrier in order to proceed.

Shortly afterwards, however, the police managed to catch the man, who has been charged with breaking the traffic law. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the very dangerous situation that the old man created.

It is not the first time a motorist has created drama at the toll booth on the Storebælt. In August 2022, a crazy driver killed a 61-year-old woman from Randers in the same place. Read more about it here .
