The renewed Renault 5 will hit the roads this autumn. However, 50,000 motorists are already on the waiting list.
Recently, Renault said that it refuses to build only cars. However, this does not mean that Renault ignores the electric car.
Not at all. In an interview with Automotive News, the brand's director, Fabrice Cambolive, says that going forward they will bet on a 'two-legged' strategy. Specifically, one model program with fossil cars and another with electric cars.
And there are plenty of electric cars. In particular, the French expect a lot from the reborn Renault 5. And there are indications that they have something to base their expectations on.
According to Fabrice Cambolive, 50,000 drivers have already signed up for a Renault 5 E-Tech. The minicar, which is actually not that small again, draws on its roots from 1972 and the original Renault 5.

The new edition is expected to be ready in the autumn. So right around September or October, and Renault has already robbed the price. 25,000 euros. In Denmark, this corresponds to DKK 186,000.
And because electric cars under DKK 436,000 are tax-free in Denmark, it is also a price Danes can count on. It is not known how many Danes – and whether there are Danish names on Renault's waiting list – who have ordered a Renault 5 E-Tech.
