50-year-old woman dead – put her Tesla in reverse

50-year-old Angela Chao died in February in an accident because she accidentally put her Tesla in the wrong gear.

The 50-year-old Angela Chao, who was both a billionaire and chief executive of the American shipping company Foremost Group, has died.

Back in February, she drowned in her Tesla when she mistakenly put the car in reverse. The maneuver sent the car briefly down an embankment and into a pond.

According to the media, the 50-year-old woman was on her way home to celebrate the Chinese New Year when she called a friend in a panic inside the Tesla.

The car reportedly sank slowly enough for Angela Chao to tell her friend what was happening to both her and the car.

For unknown reasons, the chief executive could not fight his way out of the car, and when rescuers arrived at the scene after 24 minutes, there was nothing to be done. The woman's life could not be saved,

According to Norwegian Borsen, the 50-year-old woman leaves behind a husband and a son. Unfortunately, the tragic accident is not the first with a fatal outcome in a Tesla.
