42-year-old arrested for driving tractor on highway in reverse gear

A 42-year-old man came the wrong way down the motorway on Thursday last week, where he shouldn't be at all.

A 42-year-old man came across the wrong side of the traffic law on Thursday last week in a tractor that suddenly found itself on the Messemotorvejen near Herning.

This is written by TV Midtvest .

The man in the tractor should have been turned away at the exit at Vardevej. But when that didn't work out, he chose to put the tractor in reverse gear to go that way anyway.

That is, in the middle of the morning traffic at 08.33. And not only is it an exceptionally stupid idea. As Police Commissioner Erik Kristensen from the local police in Herning points out to the media, it is also illegal.

Therefore, the man, who is from Lithuania but works in this country without a fixed address, stands at a stall. As is the case in cases involving foreigners who break the traffic laws in Denmark, the fine had to be paid immediately.

That is why the man was also arrested. However, he was set free once he had paid the fine. Where the journey went from here, or whether it continued in the tractor, history does not report anything.

But it is not unusual for foreigners to put large sums in stalls here at home. The best known is probably Denmark's most talked about case of crazy carousel that a man with an address in Norway unleashed. Read more about the whole case and its development here .
