So far, traffic safety authorities have received nearly 2,400 complaints about problems with the power steering in Tesla models.
The US traffic safety authorities may not have been bogged down by Tesla complaints, but there have been a lot of them lately.
2,388 of them are actually about the same thing, namely problems with the cars' power steering. And now the authority believes that the problem is so serious that it must be investigated.
Among the complaints, at least one of them may be related to a traffic accident. Carscoops writes that.
The drivers, who complain about the lack of power steering, say that it now requires extra effort to turn the cars. And some drivers don't think they are able to turn their cars' wheels anymore.

In relation to the many complaints about lack of power steering in Teslas, the Office of Defects Investigation has noted over 50 cases where Teslas with the problem had to be towed away.
Help has also been needed at junctions, in car parks and motorways. In most cases, the complainants say that the cars lose power steering when the speed is 121 km/h or more.
There is not yet a recall, but road safety authorities already estimate that a recall could affect 334,569 cars.
