217 motorists short in the police's double trap on the same road

The South Jutland Police say that it was a tip that made them move out with the photo van twice on the same road, a few days apart.

South Jutland Police carried out a temporary speed control on Bråskovvej in Bråskov, Hedensted Municipality on Monday 1 July.

The action against the motorists was launched after a report on the police service "Order an officer".

Here it was said that many motorists drive too fast on the stretch. On Bråskovvej, the speed limit is 50 km/h, as it is within a city zone.

The police district writes this in a press release .

During the period from 18:00 to 24:00, 983 vehicles were registered, and of these short 76 motorists with excessive speed.

The result of the check showed that 26 drivers were speeding so fast that they got a cut in their driving license, and two more people are facing a conditional disqualification. The highest measured speed was 90 km/h.

Due to the high number of speeding offences, South East Jutland Police decided to carry out another speed check at the same location on Wednesday 3 July. This time from 07:00 to 14:00.

While the photo van was on the road, 2,647 cars were checked and 141 drivers were caught speeding. Again, 26 clips were awarded in the choir card, and the highest speed was measured at 82 km/h.

On both days the speed was controlled in both directions. The police believe that this underlines the authorities' need to increase road safety through checks on motorists.
