100's of Teslas left on grass field: No one knows why

Hundreds of Teslas are apparently parked and left in a grassy field a good 10 minutes outside of Tampa in Florida, USA.

Tesla is not only successful in Denmark. They may also have space issues. Pictures of brand new cars could well indicate that.

At least in the city of Tampa, Florida. According to users on the social media site Reddit, more cars have only been added since April and May, and now there will allegedly be several hundred new cars on site.

The man who posted the photos online claims that the cars show signs of a bad paint job. It may therefore be that Tesla is storing the cars because, due to quality problems, they do not want to deliver them to customers yet.

Moreover, the photographer claims, there are different-colored seats in several of the cars. Which could therefore indicate a faulty production on Tesla's part.

Tesla is also not the only car brand that uses large spaces to dump cars, if that is the case.

5 years ago, Boosted could tell about how 3,000 water-damaged BMW and Mini models are rusting away in Canada. According to the authorities, the cars are not safe to drive because the weather conditions have caused corrosion in the starter motor and 'vital electrical parts'.

Ford is a third brand that has also had massive space issues. There was simply a lack of parts for almost finished cars, so entire racetracks were filled with 'almost' fully assembled cars by the thousands. Read more about it here .

And at GMC, around September last year, they had so little space for factory new cars that they gave the dealers money to come and pick up the cars.

Back at Tesla, it emerged earlier this year that the brand has so many cars in stock that they can be seen from space. It must be about cars worth up to 20 billion Danish kroner.
