1 out of 3 motorists owns a Chinese car in 2030, says expert

In 2030, 1 in 3 motorists will drive around in a Chinese car, says the American consulting firm AlixPartners. Today, the Chinese sit on 21 percent of the market.

A whopping 33 percent. Or actually more than 1 in 3 drivers.

That's how many people will be sitting in a car from China in 2030. At least if the projection from the American consulting firm AlixPartners is correct.

Chinese cars already account for 21 percent of the global market, but analysts expect the country's car industry to expand itself at a furious pace towards 2030.

CNBC writes that.

Some of the growth that the Chinese brands can look forward to is in the domestic market, where Western car brands in particular will lose ground. In fact, the Chinese brands will go from sitting on 59 percent of the market in China to as much as 72 percent, says the expectation.

Outside of China, the American consulting firm expects the Chinese's sales to explode even more. Even if it is most often the cars of the Chinese brands that fill up well in the European ports. Some stand up to a year, because they move on. Read more about it here.

AlixPartners expects China to sell 9 million cars outside China by 2030. That number is 3 million cars today. If you project it, it will mean that in 2030 Chinese brands will have 12 percent of the market in the whole of Europe and 33 percent globally.

Chinese brands add features that customers can actually use for something, such as design and technology in the cabin, higher.

They are focused on maintaining their advantage when it comes to cost, regardless of anything. Even when they build factories abroad. In addition, the Chinese have built up a significant lead when it comes to technology, says AlixPartners' Andrew Bergbaum.

One of the Chinese brands that is actually manufacturing in Europe is Leap Motor. The Chinese brand has the backing of the world's fourth largest car group. Read more about it here.
